Prescott Valley, Dewey-Humboldt Little League registration to begin

Prescott Valley Little League signups will take place from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 4 and 11 at the Prescott Valley Public Library Crystal Room; and from 6-8 p.m. on Friday, Feb. 10 and 17 at Fuddrucker's in Prescott Valley.

Players will need to show a copy of their birth certificate and three proofs of residence dated on or before Feb. 1, 2012.

Fees per player for the season are: $63 for T-ball; $73 for Farm, Minors, Majors and Juniors; and $35 for Challenger League.

Registrations received after Feb. 17 will incur a $10 late fee. For printable registration forms or more information, visit www.prescottvalleylittle league.com.

The league seeks team sponsors, as well as volunteers including managers, coaches, scorekeepers and team parents. Visit the website or call league president Richard Andrada at 848-3152.The league also needs experienced umpires for both baseball and softball. Potential umpires should call Dave Bronson at 830-2042.

Opening ceremonies take place the second weekend in April.

Dewey Humboldt Little League signups take place from 9 a.m. to noon on Saturdays: Jan. 28 at Quailwood Community Center Library (Dewey-Humboldt); Feb. 4 at Wagner's General Store (Cordes Junction); Feb. 11 at Sequoia Ranch Charter School (Mayer); Feb. 18 again at Quailwood Library. Late registration is Feb. 25 at Humboldt Elementary School.

Bring a copy of each player's birth certificate and three proofs of residency. Have medical insurance information available, as a medical release form must be filled out.

Cost is $65 for the season. Registration after Feb. 18 incurs a $15 late fee. The season runs from March 31 through June 16.
