Local coaches offer basketball, soccer skills camps for area youth

Youth Basketball skills camp for 2nd-8th grade

FORMER COLLEGE COACH Mike Moskowitz is bringing a boys and girls basketball fundamentals skill camp to the tri-city area.

The camp will be June 9-11 and will run from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. The camp is for kids entering second thru eighth grade. Participants will receive a basketball, a water bottle and a T-shirt.

Guest instructors scheduled to appear will be Brad Clifford of Yavapai College, Eric Fundalewicz of Embry-Riddle, John Tobin, Roy Jenkins, Larry Haese and coaches from Prescott and Bradshaw Mountain high schools. BMHS offers summer basketball camp

A PERFECT SHOTS Shooting/Dynamic Scoring Camp for 8th-12th grade boys and girls will take place at Bradshaw Mountain High School main gym in Prescott Valley on June 25. Times for Session 1 (Perfect Shots Shooting) are 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. Times for Session 2 (Dynamic Scoring) are 12-2:30 p.m. Cost is $75 for both sessions.

The camp will be led by NBA Skills Coach David Nurse and the Perfect Shots Basketball Team, and will focus on teaching the ability to become a great shooter and dynamic scorer in all offensive game speed situations. To register or for more info, email bmhsgirlsbball@gmail.com.

Eagle Roughrider Soccer Camp for boys and girls ages 6-12

REGISTRATION IS OPEN for the inaugural Eagle Roughrider Soccer Camp for boys and girls ages 6-12. The day camp will run from June 2-5 at Ken Lindley Field in Prescott.

Yavapai College associate men's soccer coach Hugh Bell and Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University men's soccer coach Adam Pearce are conducting the camp, which costs $100 per camper.

"Our coaching staff is dedicated to the development and growth of soccer players of all ages and skill levels," the camp's website says. Bell and Pearce hope to register 60 campers.
