Prescott Valley is home to Arizona's first Tractor Supply Company store. The latest offering from the largest retail farm and ranch supply store chain in the U.S, with more than 1,175 stores in 47 states, opened June 29.

Fourteen employees work at the 21,924-square-foot facility, and were happy to see literally "everybody and their dogs" at the grand opening this past weekend.

"Prescott Valley is a great location for Tractor Supply because of the tight-knit community here," store manager Doug Diven, who overseas all store operations, said. "The community needed a one-stop shop. We have a little bit of everything."

Diven joined the Gloucester, Va., Tractor Supply in 2009 as an assistant manager. The Pennsylvania native worked in food service for 27 years prior to that. In his spare time, the avid NASCAR fan enjoys camping and spending time with his wife and dogs.

Tractor Supply Company (TSCO on NASDAQ) stores supply the needs of recreational farmers and ranchers, but also serve those who enjoy the rural lifestyle, as well as tradesmen and small businesses.

The company offers a selection of merchandise for the health, care, growth and containment of horses, livestock and pets; a broad selection of agricultural products; tools and hardware; light truck equipment; work clothing for the entire family, and lawn and garden power equipment.

Tractor Supply is at 8740 E. Eastridge Drive.

Store hours are 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., Monday through Saturday, and 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Sunday.

Wow! what a great store and what a great staff. I walked into the store for the first time last week, and was surprised at the choice of hardware and lawn / garden supplies. I was approached by a very friendly salesperson who was very helpful and "knew his stuff". I was also surprised at the low prices. TSC is a great addition to PV and the area.
